Lizinna is a combined oral contraceptive tablet, manufactured and marketed for sale in the UK by Morningside Pharmaceuticals. The way this pill works is to persuade the body to forego the process of ovulation and make conditions less receptive to pregnancy, and its active ingredients do this by mimicking the action of naturally-occurring hormones in the body. It contains the same ingredients as the popular drug, Cilest.
- Generic contraceptive
- Simple 21-day pill
- Effectiveness rate of 99%
During menstruation, the hormones oestrogen and progesterone act as modulators which regulate when the body ovulates (produces an egg ready for fertilisation) and also when the uterine wall develops a lining and sheds, resulting in periodic bleeding. When levels of these hormones fall, the body prepares itself to receive male sperm, and become pregnant.
When applied in contraception, the synthetic hormones in Lizinna, ethinylestradiol and norgestimate, convince the body that these preparatory processes have already happened. This then prevents them from taking place; so the ovaries will not produce an egg, and the uterine wall will also not be as capable of accepting implantation.
The hormones provide a third contraceptive measure, in increasing the density of cervical fluid. This makes it harder for sperm to travel inside the womb and perform its job of fertilisation. Although they are not guaranteed to stop pregnancy, it is thought that combined pills prevent pregnancy in over 99% of cases.
Buying Lizinna online from a UK-based pharmacy is simple with our easy-to-use consultation service. Here at Treated.com, you don’t need an appointment and you don’t need to queue up for your medicine. This will then be sent to our dispensing pharmacy, who will prepare your order and send it to you by tracked parcel. In most cases, you’ll have your medicine at your door within just one working day of confirmation from our doctor.
