With fresher’s season well underway, Medic Alert UK tweeted this helpful UniPod article for new students on Tuesday, outlining some important health tips to remember.

Health Map shared this story from Engadget on Wednesday, reporting that WHO has declared measles as being eliminated from the American continent. It’s a great achievement and shows how much difference mass vaccination, introduced in 1980, has made; before which, the article reports, there were 2.6 million deaths per year caused by the condition worldwide.

As we reported on Dr Wayne Osborne’s blog a couple of weeks ago, the team at Treated.com were thrilled to have been nominated in the Best Health and Beauty category at the 2016 eCommerce Awards for Exellence, and we were delighted to attend the ceremony in London on Wednesday last week.

We’d like to wish a hearty congratulations to Charlotte Tilbury and Space 48, who deservedly took the prize in our category, and all the other winners and finalists too. There were scores of really impressive entries, and we’re flattered to have been included among them. Thanks for having us!

And finally on Thursday, Rare Disease UK tweeted this interesting and inspiring piece from Mashable on Gaten Matarazzo. In a recent interview, the Stranger Things star talked about his experiences of cleidocranial dysplasia (which can severely inhibit teeth and bone development) in the hope of raising awareness of the rare condition.
