Lenzetto is a hormone replacement therapy (HRT) to help treat the symptoms of menopause. It contains the active ingredient estradiol, a synthetic version of the female hormone known as oestrogen. The transdermal spray lets the medication soak through the skin and into the bloodstream.
The menopause is a natural process that all women will pass through. It tends to start between the ages of 44 and 55 but it can begin earlier. The average age for women in the UK to experience menopause is 51. When the menopause occurs before the age of 40 it is referred to as premature menopause.
The menopause process can cause numerous symptoms, as the female reproductive system reduces the amount of oestrogen being produced. The ovaries stop releasing eggs and menstrual periods stop. Common symptoms experienced at the time of menopause include insomnia, night sweats, hot flushes, mood swings and recurrent urinary tract infections.
In some cases the symptoms are mild enough to not warrant any treatment. However, if the symptoms start to impact on day to day life, then there are treatment options available such as HRT. Lenzetto is a transdermal HRT treatment that you can buy through our online pharmacy.
HRT is usually taken for several years and is reviewed by a doctor on an annual basis. Your doctor will discuss the benefits and risks of the HRT treatment.
Lenzetto can be used by women with at least six months since their last natural period. It can also be suitable for women who have had surgery to remove their ovaries. Estradiol, the synthetic hormone found in Lenzetto, supplements the loss of natural oestrogen previously produced by the ovaries. The spray is applied to the skin on the inner forearm, here it passes through the skin and into the bloodstream.
You can purchase Lenzetto transdermal spray through our online prescription renewal service. All you need to do is complete our simple questionnaire so that one of our qualified clinicians can review your answers. Once your order is approved, your treatment will be dispensed by our GPhC-registered pharmacy and shipped by next-day courier.
