Description

Description

A migraine treatment marketed by GlaxoSmithKline, Imigran Radis is a type of painkiller called a triptan. It is otherwise known as a 5HT receptor agonist, and it stimulates serotonin receptors in the brain to ease symptoms. You can buy Imigran Radis online from our pharmacy based in the United Kingdom.

  1. Two doses available.
  2. Designed especially for the relief of migraines
  3. Dissolves in the stomach and gets to work fast

A distressing and often incapacitating condition, migraines are most commonly thought of as a severe headache, but they’re not quite as simple as that. A heavy, targeted pain in one area of the head is a telltale symptom, but this can often be accompanied by nausea, vomiting and a temporary intolerance to light and sound. A migraine can either be relatively short at around four hours, or can continue for up to three days.

In up to 30 per cent of cases migraines are preceded by an acute condition known as aura, which is a collection of sensations that develop under an hour before the headache. The individual may see zig-zag patterns, lights or spots in front of their eyes or have blind spots. They might feel unsteady on their feet or experience numbness or tingling sensations. Sometimes the headache that follows can be mild or even not occur at all.

No-one is entirely sure what the root causes of migraines are. It is thought that the condition may be hereditary, as around 50 percent of people who get migraines have a close family member who also has them.

There are several triggers that can bring on an attack. Common culprits might be: a change in routine that involves more or less sleep than you’re used to getting; stress or tiredness; too much caffeine or suddenly reducing your caffeine intake; alcohol or some types of food; or sitting in front of a computer screen. Women find that migraines can be linked to their menstrual cycle, or the menopause. In fact, research suggests that migraines affect three times as many women as they do men.

The pulsating migraine headache is thought to be caused by chemical changes that cause the blood vessels adjacent to the brain to widen. The active ingredient in Imigran Radis is sumatriptan, and is a serotonin receptor agonist. It works by narrowing these dilated blood vessels present around the brain, thus reducing inflammation and alleviating the symptoms.

We advise that you make an appointment in person with your GP if you get new migraine symptoms which you have never had before, or if you have never taken migraine treatment before.

We’ve made it simple to renew your prescription and buy Imigran Radis online. A GMC registered doctor will check the answers you supply to our medical survey, and if approved, will issue a prescription on your behalf to our UK based pharmacy. This will then be delivered to you by courier in secure packaging the following day.
