Product information

Rosiced cream is a topical medication used to treat the skin condition known as rosacea. The treatment contains the active ingredient metronidazole which falls into the group of antibacterial medicines. When applied directly to the skin it helps to kill off the bacteria and reduce inflammation that causes some of the symptoms of rosacea. You can purchase rosiced cream from our online pharmacy by completing a doctor consultation.

Rosacea is a common skin complaint that tends to effect the face. The symptoms can include redness, inflammation, spots, pustules and a burning or stinging sensation. The long term condition can go through phases of reduced symptoms and phases of flare up, when symptoms are at their worst. It is more frequently diagnosed in women and those with fair skin who are prone to facial flushing.

Rosacea is different to acne because the skin is not overly greasy and instead has a red background. The condition is diagnosed by a doctor examining the area. There are no diagnostic tests for rosacea but some tests may be used to rule out other conditions.

Not everything is known about this skin condition and it is still unclear why the condition develops in some people and not others. Several potential causal factors have been hypothesised including a reaction to microscopic skin mites, abnormal blood cells and genetics but none of them have been proven.

Those diagnosed with the condition may be able to identify their own potential triggers; examples of which include: sunlight, exercise, spicy food, stress, alcohol and caffeine. If you are able to identify what causes a rosacea flare up then you can look to adapt your lifestyle to try and avoid it. However, flare ups are not always avoidable and treatment may be required to reduce symptoms and prevent worsening of the condition.

Rosiced cream can improve rosacea symptoms and soothe inflammation by targeting bacteria and disrupting their cell make up. Users should notice an improvement in the appearance of the affected area as the bacteria cells die off.

If you have not spoken to your own doctor about your rosacea symptoms then we recommend that you do so. You can purchase rosiced from our pharmacy on a renewal-only basis.

If you have used rosiced previously and are looking to renew your prescription then take our simple health consultation. Your completed order will be reviewed by a GMC-registered doctor. If they are happy to issue you with a prescription it will be sent electronically to our UK-based pharmacy. Your product will be dispensed and shipped by secure courier.
