Product information

Sunya is a pill used to provide birth control, and is marketed in the UK by a company called Stragen. It belongs to the combined hormonal contraceptive group of medications, as it contains two synthetic hormones which work in a similar way to progesterone and oestrogen. This kind of pill is applied for the first 21 days of your 28 day menstrual cycle. Following the seven day rest period, the course is started again.

  1. Effective in 99% of cases
  2. Fast and simple one a day pill
  3. Combats menstrual pain

Pregnancy is made possible by the body each month, when it undertakes certain processes. These are regulated by the increasing and decreasing levels of hormones.

Progesterone levels increase after ovulation to ensure the endometrium remains thick to accept the embryo for implantation.  If this doesn’t occur, the progesterone levels drop and the lining is shed. Oestrogen levels rise and peak at day 14 of the cycle, which starts the process of ovulation.

Similarly, the build up of the uterine wall lining, where a fertilised egg settles in the womb and begins its development into an embryo, is regulated by oestrogen; whereas the shedding of this wall lining is instigated by progesterone, and results in periodic bleeding.

The active ingredients in Sunya are ethinylestradiol and gestodene, and the presence of these when the pill is applied effectively convinces the body that conception has already taken place. As a result, an egg is not generated by the ovary, and the lining of the uterine wall, otherwise known as the endometrium, is adjusted so that it cannot house a fertilised egg.

In addition to these measures, the hormones in the combined pill increase the concentration of vaginal mucus, and this prevents sperm from being able to move about as freely inside the cervix, and pass through to their destination. When combined, these processes prevent the conditions required for pregnancy to start.

Our easy-to-use consultation and prescription service lets you buy Sunya from a trusted UK seller without the hassle of having to make an appointment, or wait in line at your local chemist. All you need to do is choose your item, then complete our health questionnaire. Your responses will be checked by a registered practitioner, and once approved, your items will be dispensed by our pharmacy and dispatched by secure next-day courier.

  5. You may be required to visit your doctor for periodic check-ups.
